[Open Wi-Fi] Can connect to Hotspot but can't use internet?

Hi!

I'm neighbour to a restaurant and they have an internet hotspot (open wi-fi network). It works fine with a Windows PC with no further configuration.

Unfortunately, I cannot use it with my MAC. I can connect without any problem to the network, but e.g. when I would open Safari I would get the error "can't find the specified page"...

Is there a special configuration to do on Mac for such public wi-fi's networks? (I have Mac OS X 10.5.7 on a Macbook 13").
