Okay, this may be the most obscure issue, but we've found that CheckDisk (chkdsk) with the /f /r options runs insanely slow on the Mid-2009 MacBook Pro 13" machine. It wouldn't be an issue, but doing any sort of NTFSClone with DeployStudio forces a check disk, which slows down the imaging process to an insanely slow rate.

Anyone else seen this?

It's a common issue with the unibodies.

In Windows Preboot running chkdsk the power management doesn't work, at first it runs properly then reduces to a crawl once heat builds up ramping up the fans to hovercraft speed. My solution is to boot into OSX, run SMCFanControl to up the fan speed then reboot into Windows (without switching off). 4k RPM seems to work in my case.
