Airport:How do I know if its using 802.11b or G?

I'm using a netgear b/g router, how can I check on my rev c powerbook if its connecting with the g protocol?

Also my netgear router is a super G 108mbps router anyway to get that to work with airport?
 
i believe the 108mb/s stuff uses proprietary encryption stuff that wouldnt be compatible with the apple airport.
