That Snow Leopard has been released to developers which will be the rumored GM - 10A435.

Hopefully this is not a fake?

well~well, I don't have any evidence, I can't proof anything

just that feeling~it's fake

look at the last number "1" in "Darwin 10.0.1", it's so PSed

The right side Picture is my macbook Sys. Inf.

look at the number "1" in "Macbook5,1"

that's the real "1"

As far as I know, not all screenshots are from the same source. The screenshots mat3224 provided are from a different source than some of the screenshots on 9to5Mac. My own source, who provided me with valueable information recently, promised me he will send me some proof later today.

Please explain?
Some dude posted a rapidshare link full of fake photos of "10A435," those 2 were including. He probably just edited the strings in those cause someone else pointed out the rest of the fakes in one of the threads in the front page.

It's not a fact they were fake. That's what people said based on some, in my humble opinion, weird inconsistencies. It's like people will always find something to make others believe things aren't legit.

Why 10A435 hasn't shown up on ADC is probably because it's an internal build within Apple and according to my source at least one company Apple's partnering with has received the new build already, which has been designated Gold Master. He said it will be on ADC on Monday.

Seems like everyone and their grandma has some "source," is there a place to order these or was this a trend I missed?

So could be fake. A user on another forum posted that to change the version in the "About This Mac" just change it here /System/Core Services/SystemVersion.plist

Did this myself on my current Snow Leopard install.

It's supposed to have a new address book app. Look at the screenshot. The highlighted item is supposed to be green! SL's UI is partly inconsistent, but that's not believable, it's fake. The green does not match anything else anywhere in the user interface and colors at Apple usually all decent from a common family (even the background images are matched).

If these are the same pics posted yesterday with the Quicktime preferences... sooooo fake.

The "highlight" color can easily be changed by going to appearance in system preferences. The color is not fake.

Screenshots showing About this Mac and System Profiler are indeed identical. Screenshots of Address Book aren't, they're new and weren't in the rarfile matt3224 provided yesterday.

Facebook & Twitter integration into Address Book does not make much sense. The Facebook API only exposes name & birthday and WTF do you want with Twitter in Address Book? Facebook & Twitter references make perfect sense as data fields of address entries, but not as super categories like int the "screenshot". This is fake.

If that is a new build, then August release or even early september release seems to be impossible due to the time to send in for manufacturing. But again, all we know is info we read from rumors, only apple knows the truth :)
