Changing Playback Speed in Quicktime X

I upgraded to SL this morning, and need to speed up videos playing in Quicktime like you could do with the A/V controls (cmd + k) in Quicktime 7.

I know that Quicktime 7 is still in /Utilities, but Quicktime X looks so beautiful, I don't want to use it

You are a gentleman and a scholar!

Where did you figure that shortcut out? I don't remember that one in QT 7.

Lady and a scholar, would be more apt.

Honestly, I found it on accident!

I know how to speed up the play back on Quicktime X, but how do you slow it down to slow mo- e.g., 1/2 or 1/4 speed?

Did anyone ever find a solution to playing the audio slower than 1x speed?
