I just installed Snow Leopard this afternoon and after work, I closed the lid to pack my laptop and go home. Thankfully it's only a 10 minute ride, because when i got home and took out my MB, it was HOT and it kept coming out of sleep...
I don't have insomniaX installed, or any other apps like that..
I never had this problem with Leopard.
Anybody have any ideas?!

Spent one hour on the phone with AppleCare specialist.
He has no idea what is going on... I'm waiting on a call back after he does some research. I have to say, AppleCare is very helpful doing all they can.

My '07 MBP lost the ability to auto-sleep about a year after upgrading to 10.5. Snow Leopard didn't fix that.

However, before that, right after purchase, the machine would spontaneously wake up from sleep mode. That was a logic board failure, covered and replaced under warranty.

Figured out this was a compatibility issue with one of my apps, and I had to manually install my apps again instead of doing a restore from TM.
The app that was causing the problem seems to be iGetter. For right now i'm staying away from it.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe you should email the devs to tell them about it.

Hi,

I installed Snow Leopard myself two days ago and have the exact issue you describe. Got home from work after a five minute bike ride to find my MacBook hot and depleted for battery.

I have the Unibody 2,4ghz 4gb ram aswell.

I have tried to put it to sleep with all apps quitted, and it still wakes up after a few minutes.

Anybody else with this issue?
