My machine: 17" 2.33ghz mbp.

After installing Snow Leopard, when trying to calibrate the screen it gets to the end and then reverts back to the ****** default snow leopard calibration and says:

"An error occured. The new calibrated display profile could not be created or set to be the current profile for this display."

also, i noticed they spelled "occured" wrong. It should be "occurred" no?

any of you guys have this issue? and if so, how do we fix it?

can someone try and replicate this? The problem doesn't make any sense...

it makes plenty of sense. It has been reported a dozen other times too. Always something along the lines of "Calibration/color management is effed in Snow Leopard". No one seems to have a fix, it sucks.

I have done a clean install of snow leopard, things still failing. i1display2 and argyllCMS/DispcalGUI. The initial behavior in the aforementioned software has changed (it is able to access LUTs for both my screens - before it would fail on the builtin lcd on my macbook) but the end result is still, apply the profile, and it looks good... and then switches to some random looking crap.

Also note that these profiles (I have tried the eye-one match software as well) NEVER appear properly in the "show only profiles for this display" list. Not sure why, but seems odd since they were doing fine in 10.5.

I have the same problem. In fact the color profile cant be changed, since it is "jumping" to some kind of default, no matter which color I change or set up or calibrate. Snowy acts like there was only one profile for all screens.

Even .1 didnt fix this. Come on Apple, repair this crap!!
