I was surfing the Canadian apple store. I found a product not for sale on the US store. This product can only be sold to business or education institution. It has the ability to supply power over ethenet to other airport base stations. So you could run a airport base station without it plugged in!

Why would this not be availiable in the USA?

Actually, I'm pretty sure that current US AEBS' are available with this feature -- it was announced around the end of April:

But it is strange that they're not in the US store. Are the prices different in Canada between the two models?

FWIW also I think you can only use this if you specially set up a network that provides power over the cat5 cabling...I don't think the line coming out of your cablemodem or DSL modem does this. Anyone know for sure?

It's available world wide, Apple have been rearranging their Airport products on the store so it may not be currently showing up.
