iMac G4 Video Out to HDTV

I have an iMac G4 800 mhz that I'd like to mirror to a 46" Samsung HDTV. I bought the Apple mini dv to both composite and s-video converter. When I plug it in, all I get is a scrambled version of what's on my mac. Any ideas on how to fix this and actually get video to transfer?

It doesn't look like that model had a mini-DVI port.

It looks like it had mini-vga.

So you could mirror it with this cable (as long as your Samsung has a VGA in):

You could get a mini-vga to composite/s-video adaptor but those video standards are resolution limited.
