Anyone has reapplied thermal paste on first generation MBP?

If you have re-applied the thermal paste with AS5 on a first gen MBP I am really interested in hearing about it!

Was it successful and worth it?
It looks quite daunting even if I have replaced the Hard drive and airport card in it before.

Have been thinking about AS5 but given the effort and risks I want to hear of a few success stories before trying it myself.
