I'm getting sick of firefox being laggy/crashing/slow scrolling so I've switched to safari.

I LOVE it. Its smooth, fast, lightweight, and just works. I just have one problem with it: I hate that if it gets closed/crashes it doesn't save my tabs like firefox/IE does. Is there anyway around this? This would completely seal the deal for me!

(Also one other small thing - is it possible to search from the address bar? I know the google box is right next to it but just wondering)

Thanks so much...you guys are always so helpful!!

Wow, glims is a dream come true! It does what I wanted and more!!

- choose which search engine google bar uses
- recover tabs on start
- search from address bar
- open new links in tabs always (right click > open in tab gets quite old)
- auto close downloads window (yes!!)
- autocomplete
- fullscreen

This is a safar must-have...thanks dude!

Is Glims an InputManager? If so, it won't work in SL unless you want to run Safari in 32-bit mode.

Safari already has an auto-session save feature. History menu -> "Reopen All Windows from Last Session". Works if you accidentally close the window, quit Safari, or it crashes.

You can use Cmd Opt F to put the cursor right in the Google search box.

Running Safari in 32-bit mode now so I can use glims + adblock.

What's so bad about 32-bit mode? Once they update both apps I'll switch back to 64-bit...
