Men lose their minds speaking to pretty women

Researchers who carried out the study, published in the Journal of Experimental and Social Psychology, think the reason may be that men use up so much of their brain function or 'cognitive resources' trying to impress beautiful women, they have little left for other tasks.

WTF?😕 They have male researchers, right? That's the best they can come up with? How then do they explain why some men walk into lamp post when a hot woman walks by even when she takes no notice of him?
My non-scientific hypothesis is that the guy is too busy imagining what the woman looks like nekkid to function. At least, it is in my case.😛

This makes sense. The drive to mate supersedes everything else.

Now, if only the attractive women would immediately respond every time, we men wouldn't have to spend so much time in "reduced cognitives states."

And this is news?!! This has been the case since time started.

Please exercise your power, miss anjinhamarota. Try making eye contact with a stranger. You will own them. I have no doubts in your ability.

Self-deprecating humor never goes out of style (but I'm sure it's not true in this case)

I don't know about anyone else, but I can withstand a pretty face. What makes my brains change gears (from large to small) is deep and/or impressive cleavage. I guess it doesn't help that I can tall (6'3") and have a great view. It's difficult to concentrate when great effort is being expended to keep from even glancing at something on prominent display.

Must have been fun doing that experiment! Everyone study I've done was "That coffee you just drank was laced with uranium, are you still breathing?"... (I kid...)

I'm very firmly (ahem) in this category. On a few occasions I've been approached by attractive girls in a nightclub or pub, and my mind just went blank. Completely blank, what I wouldn't have given for a little tumbleweed..

I've even learnt Spanish (almost fluent) and Portuguese (improving) because I love Latin women so much, but every time I meet one my brain kicks into neutral.. what a waste of time and money. 😛

Sigh... It's tough being a guy..
