I installed Snow Leopard and I've noticed that one of the many emoticons I like to use does not display correctly.

ಠ_ಠ

How can I fix this? Is anyone else experiencing this?

I see ?_? in your post, but at the top of Safari I see two boxes with xs through them.

Same thing here. Only when trying to enter my admin password or allow keychains. Thinking of wiping and restoring from TC backup.

I figured it out. The missing characters are Kannada characters. All you have to do is to install a Kannada font, and I found one here:

http://web.nickshanks.com/fonts/kannada/

Here's a direct link to the font:

http://web.nickshanks.com/downloads/fonts/Kedage.dfont

Thanks! Fixed it for me.

At first I was like ಠ_ಠ, then I installed Kedage.dfont and now I am like ^_^

It looks like Johnny Number 5 from Short Circuit. You should definitely keep it the way it is 🙂

Just a quick note:
Sadly All .dfonts will be removed by Snow Leopard ~ you will find them in the trash.
Mac OSX 10.6 has dropped the dfont format.
