how can I default no sound effect when adjusting the volume?

how can I default no sound effect when adjusting the volume?
it is quite annoying

yes, go to sys prefs/sound click on the sound effects tab

System Preferences ---> Sound ---> Sound Effects

Then deselect Play Sound when adjusting volume, or something like that.
