Will Apple ever make an exnternal iSight again?

Why did they discontinue it in the first place? To force us to buying their new LED monitors or have a second thought on getting a Mac mini?
 
I'm assuming they want you to buy their monitors. I had to eBay an iSight to use and I'm glad I did, I like the external one. 😀
