You don't have to tell me. We New Yorkers are pretty fed up. Some of the firefighters I was with today and many who work in Brooklyn are conservatives from Long Island and they hate it.

Republicans seem to forget 9/11 happened on their watch.

I remember alot of people were cut out of coverage by the insurance companies, even firefighters. First Bush had the area deemed "safe" and a lot of people who got sick had to sue and try to prove that they got sick from just being at the trade center site. Insurance companies also said that unless you were "supposed to be there" you wouldnt be covered. This included all the regular non medical/safety citizens that rushed in to search for survivors.

I can't believe people are saying that what Obama is doing with health care is in any way comparable to the invasion of Iraq. What ever you think of Obama, whether you think he's delusional or naive, it's obvious he thinks he is doing what it takes to bring a better system to Americans. Even Joe Scarborough acknowledges this, and has yelled people down on his show for suggesting Obama hates America.

Now people are comparing health reform protesters to war protests? War? Where the intention is to kill people? People said Bush was evil because he sent 4000 Americans to die in the wrong country, killing thousands of its civilians and hundreds of journalists in the process. What Bush did was a fatal abuse of the American armed forces, and anyone who even thinks of saying "support our troops" should denounce the way he handled Iraq.

These people are genuinely insane. They believe that "the Muslims are moving in and taking over?" That Obama was not born in America? I take it back. I can believe these people would compare health care to Iraq, because they compare people to Hitler at the drop of a hat. One yelled "heil Hitler" to a Jewish immigrant who was defending Obama's overhaul.

Were hateful and disgusting things said about Bush? Of course. Were many of them false and slanderous? Yes. But comparing a war protest to a protest where not only are the people's opinions is based on complete falsehoods, but where they protest something that is being done in goodwill is ridiculous.

To expose ACORN, to expose the Czars, to expose the backgrounds of the President's advisors and stop the idiots in Congress from passing anymore bills.

The hypocrisy is absolutely astounding. It's especially entertaining to see people posting signs from the event as an attempt to label or defame the entire movement based on what one single sign says. Perhaps we should post some signs from a few liberal protests and attempt to tie those signs to the entire liberal worldview! Genius.

At any rate, it appears this event was much larger than most people thought it would be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sjvc6baor8

The hypocrisy from the teabaggers is what's astounding. For years, liberal protestors were told crap like "If you don't like America, get out!" or "If you don't support the president you're unpatriotic!" and "Quit whining and support the president!" but now that the shoe is on the other foot, suddenly, it's OK for them to protest and disrespect the president.

You're right. It's wrong to judge this movement when it's only one sign of many that are stupid, offensive or just plain wrong.

60,000 to 70,000 is a lot of people? Wonder how many of them were bused in by the insurance companies.

Cool video, except for the fact that it is a complete lie.

This is the lead photo on Malkin's site, where she claims tha the march numbered two million. It's bein widely reproduced all over the Right-Wing blogosphere.

There's a problem, though: the livecam from which this shot was taken shows a flag flying at full mast, not half-mast.

A second problem: this webcam is looking at the traffic on 14th Street. The Teabaggers gathered at Freedom Plaza and marched down Pennsylvania Avenue, not 14th St.
Look for yourself:

Video from MSNBC: (a VERY conservative leaning organization of course)
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540...12013#32812013

The Daily Kos thing was hilarious... they were trying to say that because the flag was at half-mass, it wasn't the right date. Too bad there are several videos dispelling their *************t.

On a side note, it's great to see protesting that isn't full of professional protestors and people who were brought in by community organizers, etc. You can tell these people largely have jobs and that this is probably the first time they've ever protested. These are real Americans peacefully marching for something they truly believe in. They're protesting actions by Democrats AND Republicans. God bless and God speed.

Here's ANOTHER MSNBC video which shows virtually the EXACT same screenshot that was shown on the Daily Kos site. Hahhahaha... live video's hard to refute. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540...12013#32811349 (and imagine that, a Bush official was criticizing the march as well...)

You can socioeconomically profile someone by looking at their protest signage?
