Aluminum Macbook speakers blown out?

My Aluminum Macbook won't play any sounds except the "beep" when you turn up/down the volume. And it's not the usual beep but a gargled sound that reminds me off blown out speakers.


It won't play sounds from iTunes or any other application at all.
 
Yeah I imagine that's what I'll do, just making sure this wasn't some weird software issue or anything.
