ibook G4 frozen on repair permissions, stuck on grey boot screen
I have recently had trouble with my ibook g4 being stuck on the grey boot screen.
I did a clean install using a copy of leopard But the problem persisted. I then tried to repair and verify my disk using the disk utility on the install disk. the result was that my HD was ok. But it still was stuck on the grey screen. single user mode also said HD was ok. Safe boot mode didn't work, it was still stuck on the grey boot screen and when booting using Verbose Mode it get stuck on: [HCIController][ConfigurePM] power parent ready after 1 tries Finally i have tried to repair permissions using the install disk but it freezes while reading the permissions database. So my question: is there anything else you would recommend? Any help is appreciated |
