My Airport won't work with my router...

I bought a new Mac book Pro a few months ago. I recently bought an airport express to stream my music through my house.

I set up everything the way it should. But the only way I can get it to work is to hard wire an Ethernet cable to the airport. Once I remove the Ethernet cable it stops playing music. It should play with out it, but doesn't.

My guess is that my router is the issue. I have a WGR614 v7 Netgear router.

The question is, do I need to buy a new router for my airport to work properly or is there anyway I can get it to work with the current router I have now.

Please help! Thanks!
