I ordered a 15" PBook yesterday with Apple loan. The loan was approved. I check my email this evening to find Apple shipped half the stuff already, and everything is looking good - but the order status on Apple.com shows a problem with the loan?? They said they emailed me a full detail of the problem, and to call them at suchandsuch a number to clear it up, but no email about that. Any idea what might be up? I have good credit.

Did you order software too using the Apple loan, or hardware that isn't Apple branded, or you might have gone over what they said they would loan you. Double check that the email you gave is correct and isn't in a junk mail folder. Then just call the Apple Care people and ask them to send you too who ever would deal with something like this.
