Ignoring update in Cydia?

Hey does anyone know if there is a way to get Cydia to ignore or forget an update? I have an update that I do not want to download and I'm tired of the badge.
I've tried searching but haven't found any answers, hopefully someone out there in MRforumland has an idea.
Thanks for the help!

Only way I know is delete the repo, but in most cases that isn't an option.

I guess if the update is like Ultrasn0w where it's the only app on the repo it would be OK.

hey great idea! i hadn't thought of that, it turns out its the ZodTTD & MacCiti repo which are basically just games and themes so I think this will work. Thanks bud

Edit: damn, aparently since its a community source I can't get rid of it through the Cydia UI... hmm i wonder if this is an SSH situation... The problem is I need to be careful messing with things on the phone since im running 3.0.1 3GS and a restore would be horrible. I guess i'll just live with the badge.

In Cydia, to remove the update badge for a specific app, SSH to your phone and go to /private/var/lib/dpkg/status
Open the status file in a text editor and look for the app in question and change the version number to something higher (or much higher!) ie: 1.0.3-1 to 1.0.3-10 (or 1.9.0-1)
