Yes, I have 3 iMacs: a G4 flat panel, G5 (no iSight), and 2008 2.4ghz 4gb ram. Unfortunately yes, the 2008 model is my main computer. I say unfortunately because of the glass over it. I never realized how much of an impact it would make on my eyes. The glass is very bad for you. My vision went way down over the past year that I've owned the device. I don't know what Apple was thinking and I ONLY suggest buying an iMac once they have a Matte screen option - or at least once they get rid of the glass. It's not the glare that's the problem for me, it's not the way that the glass looks that is the problem for me, but the impact it has on your eyes is incredibly bad. It causes huge eyestrain.
I'm on the G4 right now (friend just found it in the dump, replaced the HDD and it works perfectly. All for $60, and that was the cost of the HDD😎). It looks great and I think Matte will be the only way for me to go in the future. Not that I dislike glossy's, I can use them, but I prefer Matte and I will never EVER buy a display panel with glass over it again.
