I need to know if there is a way to display custom resolution information on my PC so that I can copy those specific timings to SwitchResX on the Mac. Both are connected to my HDTV.

My HDTV doesn’t support 1:1 mapping, and the only way I’ve ever been able to get it to work properly via a DVI to HDMI cable was using ATI’s driver software in Windows, which includes overscan/under-scan functionality.

Obviously, Apple has chosen not to include such tools in Mac OS X. So, I’m stuck.

All Windows and the ATI control panel reports is the resolution, 1200x668 at 60Hz.

Anybody have an idea? I tried PowerStrip, but it didn’t show the timings either.
