I have some Insignia BT headphones to go with my hp laptop, but I'm wondering if I can also use them with my Mac Pro (no BT).

They have a USB adapter for non-BT computers, but whenever I plug it in I get a message saying my *keyboard* can't be identified, and to press the first key to the left of the right-hand Shift key. (I'm using a third-party KB as well, from MS).

Is there any way to work this happen? I asked for support at the Insignia site but got no response; I found some old(er) guide for Macs but it would there would be a Bluetooth icon in the System Preferences, which there isn't (already using Snow Leopard). Many thanks

You do not need to use the dongle since the MacBook has bluetooth. You do have to pair the headphones to the MB though....set the MB bluetooth to "discoverable" and pair away!
