Always wanted to Jailbreak, seemed to confusing. This idiot needs help.

Ello everyone. Everytime I see jailbroken phones I get a little jealous. I heard that 3.1 on the 3gs can now be jailbroken. I just feel like slow because I don't understand anything on how to do this.
Would someone be ever so kind, to help me step by step on how to do this. This boring stock theme. Is no fun. 😱

Unless you were jailbroken on 3.0 or 3.0.1, the current 3GS/3.1 jailbreak does you no good. If you were, i’ll be happy to help. If not, you’re screwed.. for now, at least.
 
Did you even try searching on google for a guide? There are hundreds and hundreds even with videos too. But alas, here is one. It is the same process for the 3Gs or the 3G, you can download the newest pwnage tool from here.
 
Well, things are even more confusing now!!! 😉

If I understand correctly, you have a 3GS, and it is currently on 3.1?

If yes, then there is no jailbreak available for that yet. The jailbreak that was recently released allows people with already jailbroken 3GS to upgrade to a jailbroken 3.1, but people who are already on stock 3.1 have to wait a while longer.
