iPod touch Touch 3rd generation shuts down while in safari, restarts but freezes on apple logo

I bought an Ipod Touch 64 gb 3rd generation a week ago and so far it has freezed up on me three times. It is not jailbroken, I've downloaded maybe 15 apps, all high ranking so no obscure ****. When I'm in safari and I'm entering a web adress, it will suddenly fade, and the apple logo(start up screen) will appear. The problem is that it is not starting up. I reset it(Home + power of button for 10 seconds) it restarts, and when I start it up again the logo will appear again but it will stay there as well. So no startup. Then I plug it into my mac, nothing happens. Restart it, plug it in while is off, but no, no reaction. iTunes won't even realize it is there. Then I'll do this 5-6 times and leave it in for a bit in the mac.. And after being connected 5 minutes It will suddenly startup and my backround screen appears. This has, as I said, happened 3 times in 2 days. Anyone else had this problem? Evers single time I've had more than 70% battery left, so that is not the problam. Software problem maybe?
