Download doesn't work in SAfari

Two weeks ago I have Upgrade my MacBook Pro to Snow Leopard. So far I could not download any kind of a file.

When I click 'download', it show up a blank screen. Then I click Window -> Activity and it indicate the file is being downloading. But it doesn't appear in the download folder or even does not show up in spotlight.

Can anyone help on this?
