My wife's macbook is making a bubbling water sound. It is doing this constantly. When we ichat we have to talk over the sound, it's like chatting to a diver.

I'm assuming it's something my daughter has done / changed. As she is currently in Argentina, my wife is in New Zealand and I'm in Singapore I'm having a little trouble getting to the bottom of it.

A reboot hasn't helped. Thought of a faulty screen saver but can't see anything that would fit. The macbook is running Leopard.

Any ideas?

Well, the signal is crossing miles of ocean...

Seriously, if you are able to find out whether anything was recently installed on the offending Macbook, that might help.

Daughter has promised to fix it on her return. Hasn't told me what she did though.

i had the same problem it was a widget i had its the one with the fish swimming just go and get rid of it and the sound should stop
