I think it would be neat to have another contest like the Switch Video or Avatar contests. They were fun and people came up with some really creative stuff. As an added bonus, the Switch Video contest got Macrumors some publicity.

Thoughts?
 
I think we were able to get away with those contests in the past because MacRumors was a smaller community. So if we did the avatar contest again, there would be far more entries than the last time. Also, since MacRumors is such a large community, it is more likely for issues within the community to develop and become serious. So having another avatar contest would put too much of a strain on the mods, because they need to work on both the contest and the forums.
