Hi I am a new ipod touch owner, after one day use the battery has rapidly gone down and now its giving me alerts at 20%.

should I need to charge the ipod for 12hrs like mobile phones?

Please advise.

Charge it fully before you begin to use it on battery. This will promote battery life as well as battery health.

apoligies for asking a daft question, how would i know the battery is charged fully?

The reason I ask is at the top of the screen all it shows me is the battery icon full with a charging indicator!

I dont think my ipod is fully charged in 10min.

please advise

Thanks for the tip!

One other question, I am looking to purchase a case for the ipod.

Is it ok to order a hard case with rubber exterior and will this cause any heating issues?

or should i purchase a normal silicon case?

please advice

Switcheasy cases are great cases. The rebel touch case looks cool, and there's also the thinner neo touch.

I have had a switch easy case for a year now and its been through hell and back and still does the job. It looks ok from far away but up close it has many dings. But the ipod still looks new at that is what matters.
