Newie Question

I am about to attempt a jail break on my iPhone 3G 8Gig using pwnage tool 3.1.4. If something should go wrong, or I am unhappy with my jailbroken phone, can I simply restore to factory using apples iTunes update?

You can upgrade or downgrade and jailbreak a 3G to any software version you want.

Ok, worst fears are now a reality. I used pwnage tool to JB my firmware that I downloaded. When I try and restore via iTunes, it gives me an error code 1006, and 1604. What can I do?

Keep trying. Honestly, it WILL work. Exit everything except iTunes just to make sure nothing can go wrong.

Also, make sure you are in DFU or Restore mode, whichever is needed for what you are doing.
