XBench is an old benchmarking tool and can be very inaccurate at times. I would not rely on it if I am deciding if my system is running well or not.

I'll be glad to know if anyone can figure out what this update fixes and what was causing the problems to begin with.

Wow! This update doubled the speed of my computer!

Oh wait, no it didn't.

Nothing at all has changed as usual.

Is it? Has anybody seen any difference whatsoever? I didn't get any HDD pauses to begin with.

Didn't think there is any difference, from the models this supporting, might be a nVidia driver update, and maybe finally apple fixed random drive freeze problem.

At work right now. Does anyone know if this update is also available for Leopard? Tons of us are having freezing issues while using QuickTime, and I'm hoping this is the solution.

Sorry, let me change that. It looks like an update concerning the nVidia chipset, since it looks like it targets all mac's using the nVidia chipset, and only the macs using that chipset.

Boo. Thought it was an all-around update but it's only for those with HDD problems. Didn't they already fix this with the .1 update?

Anyways, hopefully .2 update does an all around update (but will most likely be a .3 or .4)

Only thing I've noticed is that my CPU activity seems to have dropped a fair bit. With Safari, Mail and NNW running AND screen sharing into the computer iStat menus is showing barely any CPU activity happening. Seems cooler too.

Thanks, I'm still at work. Otherwise I would have looked the package myself.
