Hi All,

My PowerBook G4 (1.33) had a somewhat wonky power cord when I got it, but it worked find until recently. So I replaced the cord, and the computer turned on just fine. The battery, however, wouldn't charge, and when I put it to sleep, the computer wouldn't wake up again (even though it was still plugged in). I had to take the battery out to get the computer to turn on again. Now I run the computer without the battery, but it's still reluctant to wake from sleep.

Aside from getting a new battery, any thoughts on how to fix this?

Thanks so much in advance!

More info...

Ok, so after tinkering, it seems that I MUST have the battery out, and reset the PMU in order to get the machine to boot. I'm thinking I might need to replace the battery and the PRAM battery. Does this sound right?
