resync all your apps back on the phone

Might be some type of memory problem. Try downloading the "free memory" app at the app store.

after 3.1.1 update?

My friend had this problem after updating his iPhone to 3.1.1.

Try downloading a single free app via your iPod, not iTunes, and try again. Anything free will do as long as it isn't installed yet.

I am convinced my post was a memory problem....brain dead memory problem!🙄
