jb 3.1 to 3.1.2 and keeping my cydia apps?

i have a jailbroken 3G running software 3.1 and i want to upgrade to 3.1.2. am i gonna have to lose all my cydia apps or do they carry over somehow?
 
You will lose them all (because the update writes over all that content), but you can backup the cydia packages using aptbackup from Cydia. Just make sure to choose to restore from a backup.
 
I recommend PkgBackup. It costs $2 or $3 but in my experience is far better than AptBackup.

I had a very bad experience with AptBackup
