I was at the apple store today looking at the 17inch MBPs and i noticed that on the antiglare model there is no black border around the screen, its aluminum.

I asked a "specialist" and he couldnt tell me wether or not all the antiglare screens are like that. then he said something about buying the glossy screen and adding an antiglare film...

Im a bit confused now, i want an antiglare matte finish screen but the aluminum border looks a little funny with the thin black rubber strip around it.'

I will try and find some pictures if thatll help explain what im talking about, thanks!

All Unibody MacBook Pro 15" & 17" models with the antiglare display have a silver bezel around them, as the glass of the glossy displays is glued/tacked/(whatever process) onto the already matte screen, therefore the black bezel on the glossy models.
