Someone on MacBidouille did the replacement Also MCE proposes a replacement superdrive.

maxvamp macrumors 6502a Jul 21, 2004 #3 I don't know about internal drives, but I have had excellent luck with bytecc FW cases, combined with Pioneer DVD burners. Over at Pricewatch.com, you can find the case for about $40, and the drive I believe can be had for around $140. Max.
