Cell Phone Service in Portland??

Hello everyone,

I just moved to the Portland area from Michigan and my SprintPCS cell service isn't working too well. My contract has been up for awhile so I'm looking at other providers. Anyone in the area have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Eric

Maine or Oregon?

I am sure there are others, but those are the 2 biggest ones, just checking.
If its Maine - I use AT&T, its ok, but they are being bought by Cingular, so who knows how it will be in a year or so.

Verizon is supposed to be the best in Portland Oregon.

But I use T-Mobile with a Nokia 6600 and it works fine. Many people here will tell you to go with Verizon.

Yea I've kind of been leaning towards Verizon.

The #1 thing is call quality. I'm dropping calls left and right with my Sprint phone. I've heard good things about Verizon, good and bad about T-Mobile. #2 thing is plan quality. Just moving from MI means most of my calls are to friends back home and with the 3hr difference in time I can't call them during nighttime hours. T-Mobile has the advantage there since they just have anytime minutes. But my dad, my best friend, and one of my other good friends have Verizion, so my minutes to them don't count.

I live in Corvallis and AT&T Wireless seems to work very well. That said, Verizon is probably the best route. Either one should work just fine though.
