Apple Releases Bluetooth Update 1.0 for Windows



Apple today released Bluetooth Update 1.0 for Windows, bringing improved Bluetooth support to Windows XP and Vista running under Apple's Boot Camp. The update, which weighs in at 6.27 MB, applies only to Apple's new 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac models.

No, it isn't. They aren't "fixing Windows." Windows isn't the problem. They're fixing their own drivers for use under windows. As Apple is the company that sells you the hardware, it is their responsibility to make drivers that allow the hardware to function correctly. If they wish to support Windows on their hardware, of course they have to provide working drivers for their hardware. This is hardly above or beyond the call of duty.

Just did the update on my 27" iMac running Windows 7 on Bootcamp and I now have one finger scrolling on the mouse, and the keyboard settings have appeared under the bootcamp control pannel. There are no other multi-tough items however (no two finger back swipe).

It's nice to be able to travel the entire screen with one mouse movement in Windows instead of having to pick up the mouse like I do in Snow Leopard.

now, if only they could get bluetooth working right in their OWN friggin operating system. mouse doesn't work? it won't let you restart bluetooth because then your mouse wouldn't work. BUT IT ALREADY DOESN'T WORK!
