iTunes multi-library capability

Does anyone know if you can create multiple libraries in iTunes?

My current music collection is around 23.6 GB, I'm downloading constantly, and I'm pulling my friend's 16+ GB collection over soon. So, I want to create a truncated library I can sync my 3G 30GB iPod with.

P.S. - No, I'm not going to upgrade my iPod. The 4G improvements aren't worth it.
