Can I do this with two TC's

Have TC #1 hooked up to internet on 1st floor. Have TC #2 in BR on 2nd floor configured as "extend network". Just got a new DVR in Br and want to connect to internet. Can I run a ethernet cable from back of # 2 to DVR and get the internet? Or, is #2 just a wireless router? Thanks.
 
Yes, you can do as you said and it would work. When you extend the network to the 2nd TC it includes the LAN ports as connected to TC #1.
