macOS Opening HTML document on a mac problem...

Hi,

I have created an HTML document with code, but when I open it in Safari or firefox it shows the code instead of what it's supposed to show.

Note: I tried opening it in windows and it works fine.

Does your file have the ".html" extension?

Does the file start with <html>?

Without more details of exactly what your file consists of, there's no way to tell what the problem might be.
 
Sounds like you used TextEdit to write the code and it got saved as rich text rather than plain text. Make sure to switch to plaint text mode, or better yet, use a real text editor. TextWrangler is a good free one.
