How do I find out what OS I have ?

I don't know nothing about Mac, just bought a powerbook g4, getting to know about Mac.

Please help.

In the top left of your screen, there will be a blue image of an apple. Click on it and go down to where it says "About this Mac."

It will tell you how much RAM you have, your processor speed and the OS version.

Or, in the Terminal.app, sw_vers will tell you what version of OSX you're running.

OK. There is an apple in the upper-left corner. Click on it. A menu should pop down. Click on "About this Mac" it should be the first one on the list.

Edit: Sorry musicpyrite got to it before me. A mod can delete this post if they want.

If you just got there will be a lot of software updates to do. It's also in the blue apple in the top left.

heh i didn't know that command existed. i usually do this one, but your is a bit better.
