You can use either bootcamp or a virtual machine. Bootcamp is free within Snow Leopard, so you only have to buy XP. Running a virtual machine will mean that you need to purchase some more software such as Vmware Fusion or Parallels.

Yes, via Boot Camp.
Works on Mac OS X
Microsoft Office for Mac and Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents created on a Mac or PC
Windows XP and Vista using Boot Camp or third-party software
Access to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007
Virtually all email services and providers
Popular file types such as PDF, JPG, ZIP, MP3, PSD, and more
Digital cameras, printers, hard drives, mice, and keyboards with USB connections
Wi-Fi hotspots and Windows networks
Instant messaging with AIM, Google, MSN, Yahoo!, and more
Or even Parallels, VM Ware Fusion and Sun Virtual Box. But there a re already lot of threads about this here. Have a look around with MRoogle.
