Anyone Using Clearwire?
Time-Warner is about to hike their rates 20%, so I've been looking at alternatives. Verizon FIOS is not available, here (zip 27358), which would leave my alternative as DSL (TW has the region "seized by the base of our snarglies", as Beldar might say).
I found out that Clearwire might work in my region, so I'll test one of their modems tomorrow. Is anyone familiar with their service? |

I have Clearwire's Clear 4G service but the 4G+ modem doesn't work on Mac and a lot of the other products don't work well on Mac.
There is a petition to get better Mac support from Clear: http://www.petitiononline.com/clearmac/ But that's about it. If it works in your area, good luck. but if you want it to go and use a mac, your SOL, unless a TON of people sign the petition.
