I've searched and got the details on how to make a ringtone but when I go to add the song that I want to make into a ringtone... its grayed out and I can't seem to drag it to garageband. Not sure what i'm doing wrong. I checked to see if it was protected by acc and its not. What am I doing wrong? I have itunes 9 and latest version of garagaband.

I have garageband 9. I understand the steps. But when I try to choose the file I want, it is greyed out and it won't let me choose it.

What kind of file are you dragging to Garageband and what's the link to the steps you are following?

Are you trying to drag a iTunes DRM music file into garageband to edit? If so you can't do that. The file has to be unprotected I believe.
