Best over-ear headphones for original iphone

I've been doing some google searches on what the best headphones for the original iphone are. A lot of them come up with headphones that are specifically for the new 3G and 3GS. I really want to get a nice pair of headphones for my boyfriend for christmas since he's been complaining about his in-ear headphones for some time.

Any hints? I would also like to not spent anything more than $100 but if the price goes up a little bit more and it's worth it, then I'll definitely consider it.

Thanks!!!

Most JVC IEMs have great sound quality and are under $50 (except the Bi-metal which is higher end)
Edit: nvm...
get Sennheiser HD555 Auidophile Headphones for $97 shipped from amazon
