MySQL Desktop front end..?
Hi Guys,
I'm wanting a Bento like app for my clients to use to connect to their Web Site database in order for them to update information/news/menus/photo galleries & all the alike. Can anyone suggest anything. I've creating a web side app but would like something more developed & easier to use for clients. Plus something on their desktop makes it appear that they have more control. I will need a Mac, Windows & possibly a Linux version... Any help is appreciated... The answer isn't one of web development really, which is why you haven't gotten replies. The thread would likely get replies in the Mac development forum since they discuss desktop applications. One idea for you to look into though is Adobe AIR.

i would think that any desktop app that can be used to update a remote database will be way to complicated for the average client to use...
why not build then an easy to use control panel for their site? with ajax or flash you can make a slick control panel that only lets them do what they need to do. |

Cms
There are dozens of content management systems available on the web. Why not use one of these, since they have ready-made forms for non-experts to post pages with?
