I want the *ideal* keyboard - mainly ergonomic, with built-in wrist rest (or maybe that's unnecessary, if the ergo. design is good enough), hopefully not too much excess crap on it and not butt-ugly either, and a trackball to go w/ it.

I can't find THE one, though. 🙁 haha I really like the newer MS keyboards having a bongo "delete" key (next to Home, End, Pg. Up, etc.) and getting rid of that useless "insert" key.

For the MS wireless Mac-compatible kb's, I've narrowed it down to the MS Wireless Optical Desktop Pro 2.0. But my remaining grip about it is - the wrist rest part by the 10-key keypad is not deep enough - my wrist doesn't feel well-supported while doing 10-key. I'm also a little afraid that, even thought it's supposed to be mac-compatible, it won't be *fully* compatible (since MS is evil 😛 - in fact, I'm test driving a similar MS kb right now, and it doesn't easily fully mac-enable itself).

As for the trackball, the most fitting one I've seen so far is the Logitech Cordless Optical TrackMan. It has the web browsing forward & backward buttons are really convenient. But one thing about it is - I don't know if I'll need a wrist rest for it - it doesn't seem like it would support the wrist very well for long term use.

And then there's the issue of each of these devices needing its own RF receiver (no?). 🙁

*Sigh* - I think I've browsed like all the main Mac retailer websites as well as the larger peripherals companies' sites (Logitech, Kensington, MS, etc.). That's the best I can come up w/ so far - and yet, they still have shortcomings! 🙁

Anyone know of any great wireless ergo kb's and trackballs I might have missed? I'm wondering how people can even type long-term on non-ergo kb's and not feel some kind of repetitive stress injury-type discomfort and pain! 🙁

I'm picky about kb's (as you can tell). Having that almost-perfect feel under your fingers and hands while you're typing - *AHHHHH...* 🙂

Now what about these: Benq x750 Wireless Desktop Companion for Bluetooth, Logitech diNovo Media Desktop? They're *nice* looking, but they're not mac-compatible. One interesting thing about them is - they both seem to have shallow keys (but supposedly are engineered to retain a good keyboard tactileness). Even though these have a standard key layout, might they still be good, ergonomic wise? I'm just wondering. 🙂
