My MBP was with Apple for about 2 weeks through November as they replaced the Airport Card and HDD - the computer had a very strange habit of dropping wifi/seeing my network but not connecting/having very limited range - all the while my iPhone would be fine.

Got it home and two days later the problem reappeared, so I assumed it was my Airport Express. I went to my cellar and brought up my old Lynksys wireless router. For the last month, there have been no problems.

I finally had a day off work so went and bought a brand new Airport Extreme - and the problems have returned. Could it be that the n wifi is the problem?

I have a genius session tomorrow - should I absolutely insist on a brand new MBP?

Seems odd but I'd certainly notify the genius. Can you configure your current router to be wifi g only and see if the problems continue
